It was under the shade of a palm tree, watching the fronds gently sway in the wind, that Kris Van Puyvelde was struck by inspiration. He wondered why a parasol couldn't reflect this natural elegance. This question was the starting point for the creation of the Palma, a parasol without struts, evoking the graceful silhouette of a palm tree.

Two years of research and development culminated in a striking presentation at the Milan Motor Show, where the Palma captivated the audience. Shortly afterwards, it was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design 'Best of Best' prize for its exceptional design.

The foot of the parasol, weighing 71.5 kg, is a design feat in itself. It pivots around the pole thanks to an integrated tyre, making it easy to move the parasol around your terrace to follow the sun. This feature offers optimum manoeuvrability. For those in particularly windy regions, an additional 13 kg balast option is available, providing extra stability and peace of mind, even in the most demanding conditions.
