Designed by George Nelson in 1947 and first produced in 1952, the Nelson Bubble wall lamp is part of the revolutionary Modernist collection.
Inspired by Swedish lamps covered in silk, these organically shaped pendant lights are the result of an innovative process: Nelson used a self-weaving plastic polymer, developed by the US Army, which he sprayed onto a light steel frame.
The result? A lamp with an airy design, both opaque and translucent, diffusing a soft, enveloping light. The wall lamp is mounted on a walnut wall bracket, with an adjustable steel arm to direct the light as required.
