The Matelassé vase, designed by Patricia Urquiola for Kartell, stands out for its unique relief, reminiscent of the quilted fabric from which it takes its name. Made of PMMA, transparent or dyed throughout, it plays with light and reflections to create an impression of suppleness and depth, despite the rigidity of the material.
Its faceted surface, punctuated by a regular geometric pattern, gives it a strong decorative presence, whether used to hold bouquets or simply as a sculptural object placed on a table, console or shelf. Its slender silhouette and luminous appearance fit equally well in contemporary interiors and more classic settings.
