Designed by Japanese designer Jin Kuramoto, Knit is a coat rack with a distinctive sculptural design. It consists of three interlocking folded steel tubes, forming a knot at the top. The pipes are tightly "knitted" together to support each other. This coat rack is the result of long experimental processes of bending and knitting metal rods. The Knit Coat Rack comes unassembled in a flat pack for easy transportation. Assembly is easy: the three tubes are fixed with 3 screws (Allen key and screws included). With its linear design, the Knit Coat Rack dresses the room with its graphic and colorful presence. The simple form, both enigmatic and playful, irresistibly attracts attention and stimulates the imagination. With its rudimentary curved form, lost between a sense of regression and technical distinction, the tube calls out with its interpretive power. The work of Japanese designer Jin Kuramato has won numerous international awards including the prestigious Red Dot Award "Best of the Best" and the iF Product Design Award. His designs are essentially the result of a continuous process of trial and error, "positive accidents". Kuramoto particularly enjoys working with materials and prototyping in his inspiring studio.
