The wind-resistant parasol.
The sturdy construction, flat roof and high-quality finish make this parasol a safe bet, even in strong winds. Thanks to its high closing height and intelligent technology that allows the parasol to open and close synchronously, the Fortano is very popular, particularly in the catering sector.
Its multi-function crank handle is a real jewel of technology. As it turns, the carriage moves upwards and the canopy opens at the same time. Like all the sunshades in the F collection, the Fortano has been specially designed for use in areas exposed to the wind. Despite its dimensions of 300 × 300 cm, it can easily withstand wind speeds of 55 km/h, thanks to our sturdy ground anchors. A parasol that's not afraid of the wind for restaurant terraces or at home.

Canvas quality cat. 2: Canvas 100 % polyester approx. 220 g/m², colour fastness 5-6, UVPROTECTION > 98 %, easy care, stain and mildew resistant. Optimum protection against direct exposure to ultraviolet rays. Not recommended for areas exposed to wind.
Fabric quality cat. 4: Fabric 100 % polyester approx. 250 g/m², solution dyed, colour fastness 7, UVPROTECTION > 98 %, easy care, stain and mildew resistant. Optimum protection against direct exposure to ultraviolet rays. Not recommended for areas exposed to strong winds.
Fabric quality cat. 5: 100% polyacrylic fabric approx. 300 g/m², solution dyed, colour fastness 7-8, UVPROTECTION > 98%, stain, water and oil repellent, anti-mould treatment. Optimum protection against direct exposure to ultraviolet rays. Recommended for areas exposed to strong winds.
Resistance to fading (first colour changes): The higher the fabric quality (e.g. polyacrylic), the stronger the colour fastness: Level 7-8, changes from 350 to 700 days / Level 7, changes around 350 days / Level 5-6, changes from 80-160 days.
Protective cover: By using a protective cover it is possible to extend the life of the fabric and slow down the bleaching process. That's why Glatz recommends its use.
