Find out more about this product

Created by the Danish designer Niels Hvass, the Cutter stool is an iconic piece of Scandinavian design, where simplicity and precision meet. Inspired by the Bauhaus movement, it is distinguished by an elegantly crafted slatted seat, resting on a structured frame with clean and refined lines.

Thanks to its simple and functional design, the Cutter stool fits naturally into any space. As an occasional seat, decorative support or footrest, it adapts to everyday needs with remarkable versatility. Its fine woodwork and minimalist look make it an ideal choice for both classic and contemporary interiors.

Three finishes, two uses. Available in three versions – solid teak or solid oak (natural or black) – the Cutter stool meets all needs:
- In teak: suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it requires regular maintenance outdoors to retain its natural lustre and develops, over time, a beautiful silver-grey patina.
- In natural or black oak: designed exclusively for indoor use, it brings a warm and timeless touch to living spaces.

Compact and versatile, the Cutter stool combines aesthetics and functionality with rare accuracy. Its timeless design makes it the ideal companion for an entrance hall, bedroom, living room or terrace, adding a touch of discreet elegance wherever it is placed.

Maintenance:
Teak naturally turns grey after 2 to 3 months of exposure to the sun, a development that can be appreciated as it is or can be prevented by applying a treatment 3 to 4 times a year.

To treat teak and maintain its original colour, it is recommended to use teak oil specially designed for outdoor wood, which can generally be purchased in DIY and gardening shops. It is advisable to choose a quality oil, suited to the climatic conditions of your region and the specific characteristics of teak.
