In addition to his industrial design projects, Ronan Bouroullec also pursues an artistic practice, creating intricate drawings by hand using a Japanese brush. The intuitive, repetitive lines of his artwork are reflected in the contours of the Courier desk, which express both his artistic flair and his sense of composition, as well as his technical mastery.

Courier naturally combines two noble materials—wood and aluminium—to create a distinctive, refined yet discreet ensemble.

From the side, the silhouette of the desk evokes the contours of a serif letter, which is where its name comes from: Courier, in reference to one of the most iconic serif fonts.
