Chapeaux is a refined, elegant lamp that can change its personality thanks to the hat it wears. With Chapeaux, the research begun by Rodolfo Dordoni with Buds (a transparent base and a powerful diffuser) takes on a new dimension, adding a level of versatility that transforms the character of the lamp, the quality of the light and its decorative impact.

Chapeaux's components - all easy to remove for cleaning - have been kept to a minimum. The conceptual heart of the project lies in the inclusion of three diffuser-hats in different shapes, materials and finishes: three in metal, two in blown glass and one in porcelain. Open at the centre, they rest on the transparent body of the lamp, made of borosilicate glass, which also supports the light source: a bulb containing the technical lighting components and appearing to float inside the glass.

Specially designed, the bulb radiates light through the diffusers, bringing it to the surface of the table with an intense but soft glow, totally glare-free. The small rod above the light globe is a multi-position touch dimmer, allowing you to control the on/off functions while modulating the light intensity.

The transparency of the support amplifies the magic of the experience: when the lamp is switched off, the transparent glass body almost disappears from view, but it appears discreetly when the light is switched on, subtly revealing its presence.

The choice of cap also determines the quality of the light. The metal version, white on the inside, reflects the light onto the surface below, making it ideal for office lighting. The porcelain version is characterised by a delicate translucence, while the glass version offers a softer, more ambient experience, making the lamp radiate from within. Thanks to the shape of the hats, with a central opening, the light is also emitted upwards, making Chapeaux the perfect luminaire for illuminating the surrounding space.

- Metal version: The diffuser is made from steel with a glossy white finish on the inside to improve light reflection.
- Glass version: The diffuser is made from blown glass with a gloss finish. The ‘warm white’ shade of the glass is pure white when the lamp is switched off and takes on an ivory hue when it is switched on, thanks to the inner layer of pale yellow ‘pagliesco’ glass.
- Porcelain version: The porcelain diffuser has a matt finish and is delicately translucent.
