19th-Century Apartment, Lausanne
It was in the center of Lausanne that we had the honor of collaborating with interior designer Lara Jacquemoud and photographer Jelena Barraud to breathe new life into a 19ᵉ century apartment.
This superb building, erected in 1888, was the setting for a beautiful project: completely reimagining the first floor to create a contemporary home, while sublimating the original elements. The woodwork, radiators and floors, true witnesses of the building's history, were carefully restored to preserve their authenticity.
Steven Duangvilay, our B2B advisor, helped with product selection for this beautiful refurbishment project. Each room reveals a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. The bedroom comes alive with the Imperia side table by Swiss manufacturer Superlife, paired with the AAL armchair by iconic Scandinavian brand HAY. The Platner armchairs, iconic design pieces by Knoll, breathe timeless elegance into the living room, while the Romana floor lamp stands proudly in the heart of the vaulted niche, like a work of art conceived for this space.
At the center of this living space, the De Sede sofa, a true masterpiece of Swiss design, imposes its presence with its sculptural lines and unrivalled comfort. The kitchen, meanwhile, is custom-designed, while track-mounted pendant lights offer flexible lighting to suit every need and use.
Our warmest thanks go to Lara Jacquemoud and Jelena Barraud for their collaboration, which enhanced every detail and revealed the soul of this exceptional apartment.
