" Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen created the Organic Chair in 1940 on the occasion of the "Organic Design in Home Furnishings" competition organised by the Museum of Modern Art in New York. The small, extraordinarily comfortable reading chair with its comfortably upholstered organic shaped shell is also available in the Organic Highback version with a higher backrest.

Seat shell: laminated.
Upholstery: polyurethane foam covered with fabric.
Legs: black ash or natural oak.
Glides: plastic glides for carpeting, additional felt glides for hard floors, also joined.
Wood origin: oak (Quercus robur) and ash (Fraxinus excelsior) from Western Europe and/or Poland".
